Day 202 Remembering 4th of July

I was gong through some of my recent photos and found this one. That was a really fun day and it capped a great week.

Day 201 Cumulus Clouds

I took this one today at Mountain View park in Fullerton. That's Brea in the foreground for those of you who aren't from the area. Would have been better at sunset.

Day 200 A Fogbow?

When we were in San Clemente this summer, I went out to get some shots of the ocean. When I got down there the marine layer was coming back in. I noticed this little "bow" and snapped away.  Interesting.

Day 199 Verity with face paint

I took this one on July 4 and since I haven't posted any from that day, I thought this one would work.  She is very sweet in this picture.

Day 198 Acrobat cat

This is A.J. playing with his cat Brendan. You really can't tell how high he's leaping, but it's kind of high (about 5 feet maybe). A.J. gets him to leap by holding up a piece of grass or purple fountain grass. It's entertaining for the humans.

Day 196 The Whitney Series 6

Here is a picture I took soon after we reached the Summit on Mt. Whitney (14,508' above sea level). The lakes that you can see are Iceberg Lake and Upper Boy Scout Lake (those are at 12,700'). Tomorrow's picture will be the last of the Whitney Series.

Day 194 The Whitney Series 4

This was taken at Trail Crest (approximately 13,700 feet above sea level). We made Trail Crest around 9:30 a.m. The main feature is Hitchcock Mountain and Hitchcock lakes in the foreground. When we made Trail Crest, I KNEW achieving summit was going to be a piece of cake. I was right.

Day 192 The Whitney Series 2

This picture was made just as the sun peeked over the mountains. I kind of liked the lens flare, so I didn't scrub it out on Photoshop. This was at approximately 12,000 feet at about 6:00 a.m. just below Consultation Lake.

Day 191 The Whitney Series 1

I am going to post several photos of our Mt. Whitney Hike and camping trip over the next few days.  In the mean time, I posted a Trip Report on the Whitney Zone blog if you'd like to read it. I rushed the post and it's a bit windy, but hey. Here's the link: Whitney Trip Report.

This is a picture of Lone Pine Creek that I took prior to our hike.

It's Alive! Blogging to return!

Hello to my follower(s).

After a two month hiatus, I am about to restart and finish this 365 project. I have a lot of pictures to post, so I will get to it with gusto later today.

I have had some issues with motivation as far as getting the shots from the camera to the computer, but I think I've cleared that mental block for now. The next photo will be posted tonight and I look forward to finishing this project around the first of the year.

Thanks for your patience!

I received this puck in the mail today. It's a totally cool Alex Delvecchio Autographed Red Wings Puck! It was a gift from The Hayashida family. Kyle played hockey for me at S.C.Y.R.H.O. the past few seasons. It came with a real nice note from Kyle and his Dad, Wade. It also has a certificate of authenticity. Nice.
